If there’s ever a person who understands mental health in an empathetic and complex manner, it’s Joanne Docherty. Unless you’d been banned from peeping into the real world for fourteen years, you’d know she’s quite the humble overachiever in anyone’s book.
We certainly admire her passion and sheer dedication to mastering her craft of helping people deal with various mental health issues.
But who wouldn’t? Joanne has achieved so much, even though her journey to being where she is today hasn’t always been easy.
Today, she’s a wonderful mental health trainer/consultant working with families, big corporations, and individuals globally to educate them on how best to support people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Joanne Docherty’s Journey of Overcoming Challenges to Champion Mental Health
While Joanne Docherty’s career runs on her professional experience in the industry and the qualifications she has achieved, a bigger picture would show that her splendid work comes from the experience of a gloomy past!
The Scottish angel was born into a family where her mother was suffering from the mental disorder schizophrenia. And even though she didn’t have a relationship with her mother since she died when she was just 10, Joanne found a deeper understanding and connection when she gave birth to her daughter.
She realized that her mother didn’t have the support she needed, and since then, Joanne has been on a mission to be an excellent educator and consultant of mental health.
Her only purpose is to shed light and fight against removing the mental health stigma we suffer from today!
Joanne Docherty’s Rise to Prominence
Joanne Docherty is passionate about making a difference in the world and this can be seen with her relentless hard work and achievements.
She has worked with various non-profit organizations, big-time corporations, and individuals across the globe, consulting, helping, and training them how to support people experiencing mental health issues.
