Christian pop artist Vanessa Béjine has another reason to celebrate. Béjine has been named the winner of Best Christian Song at the 2026 Hollywood Music Awards for her single Help Me Help Them, adding a new milestone to an independent career built on faith, perseverance and a sound that doesn’t fit neatly into one box.

For listeners discovering Béjine for the first time, the word “Christian” may create an expectation of traditional worship music. That’s not quite what they’ll find. Béjine is a Christian artist, but she’s also very much a pop artist. Her catalog moves between contemporary pop, dance, R&B-pop and cinematic influences, pairing faith-driven messages with music designed to live beyond the walls of a church. One song might make you reflect. Another might make you dance. What connects them is Béjine’s approach to songwriting: real experiences first.

Faith Meets Pop

Rather than limiting her music to traditional praise and worship, Béjine writes about the complicated parts of being human — discouragement, perseverance, hardship, compassion, hope and what it means to hold onto faith while walking through them. That approach allows her music to speak to listeners who love Christian music while remaining accessible to people who simply love a great pop record.

Her latest award-winning single is a perfect example. Help Me Help Them was written from Béjine’s desire to give a voice to those who are too easily overlooked. The song draws attention to vulnerable people but mostly neglected, homeless animals and carries a simple message at its core: you may not be able to save everyone, but helping even one life still matters.

It’s a message grounded in Béjine’s Christian faith without losing the universal human emotion behind it. And now, it’s HIMA’s Best Christian Song.

An Artist Who Refuses One Musical Box

Part of what makes Béjine an artist worth watching is her willingness to experiment sonically without abandoning the identity behind her music. Pop remains at the center, but her catalog isn’t confined to a single variation of it. Dance influences can sit alongside R&B elements, while other records lean into sweeping, cinematic production. For Béjine, genre is a vehicle rather than the destination.

The destination is connection. She writes from experiences and emotions listeners recognize in their own lives, creating music for the person who may need to hear that someone else has struggled, questioned, persevered — and kept going. That combination of contemporary pop and unapologetic faith gives Béjine room to reach an audience that extends beyond any single genre.

One to Watch

The Best Christian Song honor arrives at a fitting moment for an independent artist continuing to define exactly who she is. Béjine isn’t trying to choose between making music about faith and making music that feels current. She’s building a career around doing both. For listeners who love pop, dance and emotionally driven music but also want songs with something meaningful behind them, Vanessa Béjine may be a name worth remembering. Three years after emerging as an independent artist to watch, she’s giving listeners another reason to keep watching.

This time, she’s bringing home Best Christian Song.
