When the clamour of drums from the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution began resonating within the creative industries, the music ecosystem had little choice but to sit up and pay attention. Now, it’s grappling with the profound implications of AI-generated music, from intellectual property considerations to challenges to age-old business models. Stepping onto this seismic stage is MUSIXY.ai, seeking to harness the zeitgeist and redraw the boundaries of the industry.

On September 14th, 2023, MUSIXY.ai inaugurated the world’s first streaming platform exclusively hosting new and covered hit songs seething with unofficial AI-produced vocals from an array of iconic artists, both living and deceased. This digital stronghold aims to be the Spotify for AI hits, a haven for such music that has been ostracised from other platforms.

Embedded within the labyrinthine matrix of the AI revolution is Dr. jur. Can Ansay, founder and CEO of MUSIXY.ai. With a rich technological background rooted in his legal studies, Ansay is no stranger to trailblazing ventures. From virtual reality start-ups to pioneering Cannabis online stores for pharmacies within Europe, his entrepreneurial streak courses through MUSIXY.ai, championing innovative AI advancements.

Ansay, with unwavering conviction, proffers a defiant stance against the ensnared wizards of traditional music industry giants. He sees these titans, who once ruled the airwaves and charts, now grappling with the rapid evolution of technology, much as they did in eras past. The AI insurgency burgeoning within the music sphere, he contends, has a striking resonance with the tremors caused by disruptive technologies during the Napster epoch. Just as record labels and artists once scrambled to make sense of digital downloads and file sharing, they now face the profound implications of AI-driven music generation.

Their panicking, Ansay explains, arises not merely from a resistance to change, but from the haunting spectre of expected revenue losses and a potential paradigm shift in how music is conceived, produced, and distributed. The old guard’s fears, according to Ansay, stem from a realization that the status quo is under siege, and the tides of innovation wait for no one.

However, in stark contrast to previous tech revolutions, AI is inherently lawful in its assault on these oligopolies. By enabling cost-effective and efficient music production, AI bolsters the abilities of producers to create and monetise hit songs, even in the voices of renowned artists and in any language. This capacity has the potential to create a seismic shift in the music industry’s tectonic plates, including and especially the reselling of music rights—some already exchanged on the MUSIXY.ai marketplace for tens of thousands of Euros.

MUSIXY.ai’s collaboration with Ghostwriter—producer of the viral song ‘Heart on my sleeves’—illustrates the seismic potential of AI. The song utilised AI-generated vocals resembling Drake and The Weeknd, and rapidly became one of the most viral AI tracks. However, the Grammys’ top man, Harvey Mason Jr., declared that such songs would only be eligible if officially released via an approved platform and “widely distributed.”

Ansay argues that MUSIXY.ai holds the potential to achieve such status. Furthermore, MUSIXY.ai’s participation in the mercantile exhibition of music takes a dramatic turn when the platform allows talented producers to monetise songs with the voices of famed singers—if the vocals are labelled as “unofficial.”

The confrontations surrounding AI’s invasion into the musical landscape are undeniably intense, but MUSIXY.ai is unflinching in spotlighting the potential for disruption. The company is audaciously looking forward to benefiting from the EU’s Digital Marketing Act, mandating internet giants like Apple to equitably highlight all competitors while promoting their music platforms.

Furthermore, as music’s only AI platform, MUSIXY.ai is also beginning to make a real difference through music, producing the song “Peace” through the unofficial vocal AI-generated voices of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, with the profits going towards a Ukraine charity.

MUSIXY.ai firmly posits that AI’s participation in music creation requires recognition. Their call for the Grammys to include AI songs officially or even consider a novel category such as “AI Song of the Year” is game-changing. It is a clarion call for the Grammys to acknowledge the AI revolution within the contours of its mission – the recognition of excellence not just in music, but also in groundbreaking science.

As the AI music landscape expands, the platform is set to host the first AI music awards ceremony on February 3, 2024 at the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco, further underscoring the groundbreaking impact of AI on the music industry. Priced at 4,90 Euros / USD / GBP, premium monthly subscriptions to MUSIXY.ai stand to reframe musical consumption, setting a precedent for the future of AI in the music industry.

With MUSIXY.ai at the helm, the intersection of AI and music seems poised and ready to challenge the equilibrium of the status quo, striking a refreshing note in the unfolding symphony of the music industry’s future.
