In the superficial world of social media, few influencers have managed to resonate with audiences like Cait Taylor. Rising to fame on TikTok in 2021, Cait has amassed over 400,000 followers across platforms, captivating people with her authentic approach to life and faith. Known for her candid storytelling and willingness to be transparent about any and all topics, Cait has become a big-sister figure in the lives of many women worldwide.

After significant demand for longer-form content from fans, Cait has embarked on her latest creative endeavor, “828 with Cait” the podcast. Each episode promises listeners an intimate and enriching experience akin to late-night heart-to-heart conversations (with an extra dose of Biblical wisdom). We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Cait to discuss her new show.

Cait, congratulations on the launch of “828 with Cait”! Can you share what inspired you to start this podcast, and how it ties into your journey as an influencer and faith leader?

“Thank you so much! Not long after my TikTok account @lovecait started gaining traction, I began receiving comments asking for advice on all sorts of topics—everything from heartbreak to forgiveness to theological questions. These topics were so deep and deserved more thoughtful, well-rounded answers than I could give in a 60-second TikTok response video. I also wanted to share my testimony and life story with my followers so they could truly understand my perspective and where my advice was coming from. I knew TikTok wasn’t the right platform for that. Podcasts were already on the rise, and I could see how that format might be the perfect way to take my ministry to the next stage.”

Your podcast is named after Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Could you tell us more about why this verse is significant to you and how it shapes the themes and discussions on your show?

“Absolutely. Romans 8:28 is my life verse and one that I have come to lean on through life’s trials (you can even find it engraved on the front of my Bible). The scripture reminds me that not just some things, but all things work together for good when you love God and submit to His perfect will, no matter how painful and messy. It is through this lens that I approach my ministry work, knowing that every woman who tunes into the podcast has her own unique ‘828’ story being woven into God’s greater plan. We tackle some very heavy topics on the show, from mental health struggles to trauma, but I always strive to highlight how God is at work in the midst of it all.”

Transitioning from short-form content on social media to longer-form podcast episodes can be a challenge. What has been the most rewarding aspect of producing a podcast, and what creative freedoms does this medium offer that other social media platforms do not?

“It was definitely a big transition. After years of creating TikTok content, I was so used to that specific style of social media—everything had to be said quickly with as few words as possible, and if you so much as leave a breath in the edit, you’ll lose your viewer. Podcasting is the total opposite, so I’ve had to get comfortable with taking my time telling stories and not rushing through it. I feel like long-form content is much more fitting for me as I generally talk slowly and like to think through what I’m saying. Producing the podcast has allowed me to grow and expand my storytelling skills. I really enjoy getting to dive deeper into topics and expand on my thoughts.”

Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for “828 with Cait”? Are there specific guests or topics you hope to explore in future episodes?

“Right now, the podcast is a solo show, but I have plans to move back to Los Angeles this year, which will allow me to collaborate with many people I’d love to interview! My good friend, Sebastian Gomez, is also a YouTuber. I’d love to have him on as my first guest to discuss mental health from a Christian perspective as we both have our own unique journeys with this.”

That’s amazing! We can’t wait to have you back in the U.S. and to see all you achieve here!

Feedback from Cait’s fans has been overwhelmingly positive. One podcast listener, @chantilouise, shared her experience: “I found this podcast just yesterday… I am kinda new to Christianity in the sense that I’ve always been Christian but not followed my faith fully. I have watched every episode since just yesterday because I absolutely love how Cait is; her presence is so genuine and relatable! I’m so grateful for your honesty and can really feel the love in each episode.”

The enemy does NOT want you to know this! (HOW TO FIGHT BACK)

Such testimonials underscore the meaningful connections Cait fosters through her work. Each episode of “828 with Cait” is released bi-weekly on Wednesdays and is available primarily on Cait’s YouTube channel, as well as on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
