Adam Tassone, better known as Tas, is steadily making a name for himself in this generation, and continues to innovate and hone his craft. His experimental sounds and ability to pivot and shift genres is something we’re looking forward to as we continue to follow his artist.
If you’re aware of his music, you’ve most likely taken notice to his inspiring lyrcism. The artist has a refreshing ability to articulate great emotions through words, and judging from his growing streams, listeners agree.
But you might wonder, who really is “Tas”?
In our experience with his music at The Industry Times, the artist is undoubtedly an individual that has a bright future ahead of him.
His real name is Adam Tassone, and he goes by his stage name, “Tas.” He’s only been in the game making his solo projects for around 3-4 years now, but since childhood, Tas was thrown into the beautiful music of Pink Floyd and other amazing artists and it’s evident how some of this shines through.
In a way, the artist has always known that he’d work somewhere in the music industry because his interest in all types of music have consistently evoked emotions since a child. His open taste, despite genre, has built the framework of a musician who can both appreciate and pivot form genre to genre with poise.
In his early stages of music appreciation, a significant influence in his life was his motjer, who first introduced him to the music of Pink Floyd. And like most people, we know Pink Floyd, so we get it.
He often found himself captivated with the experimental sounds, thought provoking lyricism, and genius overall production.
Tas was wholeheartedly influenced, and today, strives to write and produce with the same passion and dedication that the musicians he grew up with did. And this goes beyond Pink Floyd.
And honestly, its pretty evident when you listen to his music because he has a certain decorative way of using his words with solid messages underneath.
Adding to his inspirations, Tas also had an older brother who was into rap music. After listening to multiple artists, he himself found himself as an old school hip-hop head like the best of us.
Most notable artists mentioned in regards to influence were of course some of the greatest rappers in the industry like 2pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and the like.
Their music had a straightforward reach to his young ears and the poetic geniuses themselves obviously shook him, like most of us at an early age, to the core.
But it influences didn’t peak there. As Tas he grew older, his love for music hit new levels, and he listened to all kinds of genres from Bosanova, Classical, Symphony, and Jazz. That is one of the many reasons his music is often so different from project to project.
As we’ve seen with his current and upcoming projects – Tas, like many artists, is passionate about innovation. He prefers to take the good from all these genres and experiment with it to make memorable songs for both himself and listeners alike.
The growth path for every artist certainly isn’t easy, though. Tas had a hard start for his career in music by living paycheck to paycheck doing construction while focusing on his music. We can see that this is the reason why all his songs are grounded, authentic, and genuine. He has said that music is his way out of all worries, which completely explains why the arists decided to get a sound engineering degree and works as a producer and engineer for various artists in the industry.
Today, Tas has listeners around the world waiting for his next project.
His only goal is to inspire as many people as possible with great music – and we’re here for it.
