From his gritty mixtape “Trials and Tribulations” to his song previews on TikTok, Butta’s versatility is turning heads. “He’s got that je ne sais quoi,” says a prominent music blogger. “One minute he’s spitting hard, the next he’s crooning like a R&B star from the ’90s. It’s wild.”
But success hasn’t changed Butta’s humble hustle. You can still catch him at local open mics, supporting up-and-coming artists. “That’s where I came from,” he says, nodding to a young rapper nervously clutching a notebook. “Gotta give back, you know?”
