A fresh face is shaking up the music production scene, and they go by the name of The Crimson Reaper. This enigmatic newcomer is turning heads with a unique blend of dark, ambient, and energetic instrumentals. Keeping their identity shrouded in mystery, The Crimson Reaper has been steadily releasing tracks since June 2023, captivating listeners with a sound that’s unmistakably their own.

The Crimson Reaper, who describes themselves as an introvert with a soft spot for anime, just put out their first EP, ‘Fear The Reaper,’ on August 14th. It’s got six hard-hitting instrumentals, clocking in at about 18 minutes total. The tracks have some pretty cool names too – “Nightfall Hustle,” “Battle Cry,” “Hardcore,” “Synth Assassin,” “Smoke and Mirrors,” and “Phantom Realm.” Each one promises to deliver that signature Crimson Reaper vibe.

When asked how they got into music, The Crimson Reaper shared a relatable story. They first tried their hand at making beats on GarageBand back in 2022, but then hit the brakes. “I’ve always loved music,” they admitted, “but I didn’t think I could actually make it, you know? Fear was holding me back.” It wasn’t until early 2023, around January or February, that they decided to give beat-making another shot. “It’s still tough,” they said, “but I’m having a blast making beats.”

So, what does The Crimson Reaper’s music sound like? Well, in their own words, it’s “dark, mysterious, and ambient” with “a pretty good hype to it.” They hope their instrumentals bring people together. “I just wanna have fun with my favorite artists and fans through my music,” they explained. Here’s a fun bit – they added, “I wouldn’t be surprised if people imagine an anime fight scene or something. I’d love to hear what pops into their heads when they listen!”

When it comes to influences, The Crimson Reaper name-drops some big ones: The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Metro Boomin. They’re all about those dark, ambient, psychedelic vibes. And hey, they’re not shy about their ambitions – working with these artists someday is “definitely a dream of mine,” they shared.

Hot on the heels of ‘Fear The Reaper,’ The Crimson Reaper isn’t slowing down. Their second EP, “Reaper’s Anthem,” is set to drop this Friday at midnight. Talk about being on a roll! And there’s more where that came from – they’re planning to keep the beats coming.

For those who want to check out The Crimson Reaper’s tunes, you can find them on all the usual suspects – Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.

As The Crimson Reaper carves out their spot in music, they’ve got some words of wisdom that hit home: “Whatever you’re passionate about, it’s gonna be challenging. You just keep going no matter what. Everything will come together with time.” Pretty solid advice from someone who went from hesitant beginner to dropping two EPs in less than a year, right?

The Crimson Reaper’s journey is a reminder that sometimes, you’ve just got to push past the self-doubt and go for it. As they keep honing their craft and building their discography, music fans will definitely be keeping an ear out. Who knows what new twists this enigmatic producer will bring to the world of instrumental music next?
