Setting a revolutionary tone in the global music trajectory, the international duo, Tom Aries and Jordana Moon –creating under their combined moniker, MOON AND ARIES – are bridging the nine-hour time span between Western Canada and Western Germany, breathing life into their fourth album, ‘RESOLUTIONS & REVOLUTIONS’. This success underlines their emerging significance in the music industry, a sector where authenticity and geographic bridges usually play second fiddle.

Their music – a passionate blend of cinematic electro-pop, trip-hop, sleek synth pop, and soul has found expressive comparisons with illustrious industry trailblazers, including ABBA, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Sade, Portishead, and Massive Attack.

Hailing from Western Canada, Jordana Moon’s songwriting expertise centres on a unique, empowering approach. Her music career revolves around an extraordinary variety of instruments. She creates inspiring compositions on the piano, and breathes tranquillity into her songs playing the acoustic and electric guitars, the mandolin, the bass guitar, the ukulele, and violin. She finds inspiration from notable artists like Lauryn Hill, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, and rich genres like jazz, 70s and 80s soul/pop/RnB music, trip-hop, and current neo-soul.

Tom Aries, on the other side of the Atlantic, is an electronic synthesizer maestro. He bridges the gap between his classical piano education and his profound affection for 80s synthesizer sounds. Aries, hailing from Western Germany, builds his creative empire on a base of instrumental tracks, synthesizer sequences, and soundtracks for short videos and computer games. His music is fueled by bands and artists like DEPECHE MODE, KRAFTWERK, JEAN-MICHEL JARRE, MASSIVE ATTACK, PORTISHEAD, RÖYKSOPP, and the overall ambience of the 80s. His artistic inclination lies in the fusion of visuals, films, and art with music.

MOON AND ARIES are set on a mission to create musical revelations that induce higher levels of consciousness. Their music is an enchanting universe of sound, a spiritual call to introspection and transformation. Both artists contribute to this mission, with Aries’ memorable, mesmerizing melodies and captivating instrumentals that perfectly complement Moon’s thought-provoking, poetic lyrics, and emotionally-intimate vocals.

Their fourth album, ‘RESOLUTIONS & REVOLUTIONS’, continues their lyrical narrative, a compelling blend of introspective lyrics and music that triggers profound contemplation and emotional release. Their latest single “Traffic” navigates the trapped desire for escape and release. The enchanting mix of 80s/90s retro R&B, Soul, Funk and Smooth Jazz painted through Moon’s sultry vocals and a funky saxophone background set a seductive, contemplative mood. The featured saxophone, played by artist “Jokomagic” adds a charismatic layer of nostalgia and chill.

In the works, being molded and nurtured from their respective homes in Canada and Germany, are sync tracks for TV, ads, and cinematic masterpieces – a testament to the breathtaking versatility and timeless appeal of their music. The duo celebrates their first anniversary in the dynamic field of music-making, becoming the torchbearers for a legitimate blend of retro and futuristic sounds. Their unique body of work has seeped into all corners of the world, amplified through over 500 radio stations in Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and America.

Both Moon and Aries describe the nine-hour geographical distance as anything but frustrating. Distance, it seems, doesn’t obfuscate their creative synchronicity. Even as they remain physically apart, they insist they feel connected 24/7, attributing the success of their remote collaboration to the magic of their mixing and mastering engineers, Chris Kung and Francois Rocheleau.

Undoubtedly, Moon and Aries have framed a new path for music ideation and creation, making an indelible mark on the global music scene –even in their individual home studios. The emotional depth they explore in their music, their search for the perfect sound and lyrics, cultivated with narrative authenticity, makes their songs both relatable and profound. By plunging their artistry into their experiences, they offer listeners a chance to feel at peace and cherish life’s transformative moments, like driving on a musical highway jammed with Life’s “Traffic”.

As their impressive song collection continues to expand and captivate the hearts of listeners worldwide, the music world eagerly awaits the exciting new music explorations from MOON AND ARIES. Indeed, their distinct blend of antique and modern sounds combined with a spiritual essence is a sensory experience that listeners don’t want to miss.
