Hailing from Sydney, drill rapper Asta Anzû is bound to carve out a place for himself in Australia’s growing hip-hop scene. From a Lebanese background, Asta Anzû brings a fresh and distinctive voice to the Australian rap landscape. As the founder of his label, Devils Sons Records, he’s embraced the independent grind, showcasing his entrepreneurial drive and relentless ambition.

Interestingly, Asta Anzû’s introduction to music wasn’t planned; it started during the COVID-19 lockdown. With no grand aspirations of becoming a rapper, he found himself turning to music as an outlet—a way to pass the time. But what began as a casual escape soon transformed into something much more serious. The Sydney-based artist emphasizes creating catchy lyrics and addictive hooks that feel tailor-made for anyone looking to amp up their energy. But don’t mistake him for just a hype man. Beneath the hard-hitting tracks, Anzû’s lyrics touch on real-life struggles and personal experiences, weaving in introspective moments that resonate with listeners on a deeper level. This ability to balance both the heavy and the heartfelt sets him apart in Australia’s growing rap scene.

Anzû’s influences are broad and eclectic, spanning from the old-school legends like Tupac and Biggie, whose storytelling ability and raw lyricism left a lasting impact. One other idol is 50 Cent, known for his ear-worm hooks, whose career trajectory offers a blueprint for Asta Anzû’s own ambitions.
