Susanne Phan, a Swedish-Vietnamese music producer, audio engineer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, is making her mark in Los Angeles’s busy music scene. Her diverse background has shaped a unique approach to music production, blending various cultural influences and styles.
Susanne’s musical journey began in Sweden, where she started playing at an early age. “Growing up with both Swedish and Vietnamese influences exposed me to a wide variety of musical concepts and styles,” Phan reflects. Her talent earned her a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where she majored in contemporary writing and production. After graduation, Phan moved to California, launching her career by working on the multi-award-winning film “Babylon” (2022) with Noah Hubbell at Igloo Music.
Currently based at Igloo Music Studios in Burbank, Susanne serves as both an Audio Engineer and Producer. Her most notable project is Igloo + Sessions, a groundbreaking series of live video recorded sessions supporting artists globally. “Igloo + Sessions is all about giving a platform to incredible talent from around the world,” Phan explains. As Head Producer and Creative Director, she is preparing for an upcoming release with New York-based singer Journi and her new single “Parting Ways”.
Susanne Phan’s production credits span various genres and mediums. She worked as vocal producer and audio engineer for Norwegian artist Aiida on the track, “You Need to Leave”. Her television experience includes co-producing music for “Welcome to Flatch” Season 2, collaborating with Grammy-nominated producer/composer Nick Lee. “Working across different media keeps me on my toes,” Phan says. “Each project brings its own unique challenges and rewards.”

Her versatility extends to writing and producing her own music, as evidenced by the track “FÅ VARA MIG SJÄLV” for GIPOMUSIC. Phan’s experience also includes producing music for EXA SITC at Berklee College of Music.
In the film industry, Susanne has expanded her skills, producing foley and editing dialogue for the indie movie “All Saints Day”. Her current projects include producing tracks for Disney Latin America. “I love the diversity of my work,” Phan shares. “One day I’m in the studio with an artist, the next I’m creating soundscapes for film.
